[Tall-Corn] Accessible Prescription Label Bill Next Steps

Good Afternoon,

Thank you to everyone who continues to contact Senators regarding our bill. Below are some specific people we want to target along with what we are asking them. As a reminder, our next step is to get the Senate to hold a vote on the bill. This can happen any time between now and the end of session, but I don’t think it’s the kind of bill they would cram in at the last minute, so we want them to do it sooner. The more Iowans who reach out, the more likely this is to happen, so please continue to ask your friends, families, social networks, etc.

1. Contact your Senator
Most importantly reach out to your specific Senator, say you are their constituent, and tell them that HF2585 is important to you and ask them to please support its passage this session.

2. Contact the Senate majority leader
This is the person who sets the calendar for what votes happen when. We want to say that HF2585 is important to us and ask him to please schedule a vote on this bill as soon as possible.

3. Contact the bill’s floor manager
If you’ve already sent her an email thanking her, you do not need to email now. For everyone else, it’s helpful for her to hear from as many different people as possible. We want to thank her for her support of the bill and tell her that the bill is important to us.
