Hello, Jim,
I'm a nearly 1-year iPhone user myself, and though I do have some vision, use it quite frequently without looking at all. It is not uncommon to see me sitting at a bus stop, iPhone in hand, with the screen curtain enabled such that to a passer-by, it would appear that the device is turned off. I have found the interface quite intuitive and simple to pick up. www.icanworkthisthing.com is one popular source for a tutorial. For the most part, I just checked out Apple's documentation and taught myself.
HTH,
Terrence

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Blind folks and the IPhone
Hello everyone,
Lately, I've been seeing that the new IPhones have been coming out and have become somewhat accessible, especially for blind folks.
I am totally blind and am interested to hear from other blind IPhone users.
I am elegible for an upgrade from At&T, and I'm really tempted but want to know if it is really doable and a good investment. I want to hear your experiences and pros and cons.
Also, how did you learn and what sorts of tutorials or manuals did you use?
Talk to me!
Jim P
