Nancy's idea of thumb drives is a good one. Window-Eyes can also be put on a thumb drive. Both programs are excellent and lower cost alternatives to JAWS.

System Access on thumb drives is quite portable. It would need to be
checked out to the user but might be a good option for those who need to
move from one computer to another.
