[Trainer-talk] scanning with EyePal

Hello. What is the best way to scan textbooks using the EyePal? It does great with the odd numbered pages. however, when I turn the book to scan the even pages, some pages scan twice and others are eliminated altogether. Some pieces of text are also not scanned. I also have Kurzweil 1000. would this device be better to use when scanning textbooks? What is the difference between the eyePal and the Pearl from Freedom scientific? thank you.
