I love the start screen. You can search for applications, open documents, go to website, and even send an email.

The search charm provides access to every aspect of windows and makes finding everything from settings, files, applications to weather in various parts of the country as simple as typing a search string.

The quick access menu can be edited so it provides access to your most frequently used applications and features of Windows through a simple menu interface.

The command bar of the start screen is wonderful. You're able to uninstall programs and run them as administrator without burrowing into your system.

The charms are handy and provide lots of access to various elements of windows and the settings interface is simplified.

There are a multitude of keystrokes that will take you exactly where you want to go.

You can even create a shortcut and hot key to shut down Windows 8.

I like it so much I've already completed my Windows 8 with JFW textbook.
