[Trainer-talk] requirements for adaptive technology instructor

The qualifications seem to vary wildly. SOme states require a masters degree 
in rehab teaching or a similar field while others are fine with a 
technology-related bachelor's. Alternatively, you could work as a contract 
employee where your experience and knowledge will end up as your primary 
characteristics for getting work. As for the NFB training centers, there are 
some with a Bachelor's degree, though I'm not sure on the exact 
requirements. Above all though, you need experience, the ability to learn 
new concepts quickly and the ability to relate and hone your teaching to the 
style of the client. I know the NFB centers have had a couple of recent 
openings for tech instructors. Try looking through the archives on this or 
other lists to see what job qualifications they were seeking and go from 
there.

  I'd also like this info: here in Mexico technology instructors are
lacking, thus I'd like to start on going to blind people's homes and
teach computers and other technology?
