[Trainer-talk] training sessions with clients

Well Michael I have to agree with an earlier post. It depends on how active
the client is and how much they can retain in one sitting. I don't think
this is a blind issue but a human issue. Some people can plug away for hours
while other need training in smaller doses. Given the nature of adaptive
tech training it can be overwhelming for some and even frustrating. I
couldn't imagine sitting down with a newly blinded studen and expecting them
to take 4 hours of solid information. Denise had mentioned working on
multiple thing so you're not just sitting in front of the computer listening
to robotic speech for hours on end. I had a client who needed to learn the
Trecker Breeze and the Victor stream. So it was quite easy to break up the
monotony of the JFW training.
Also, from my experience, a class room setting is a bit different than
training in clients' homes.
