Hi. I'm a beta tester for the Stream software. The first question that comes
to mind is whether the tone control is set to 0 or not. They've changed the
way the tone control functions, so now the pitch is changed as well.

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Victor Stream 3.4.6

Trainers,

I recently updated my Victor Reader Stream along with a couple other people
to the 3.4.6 firmware. After doing so, our Stream's files were distorted.
At first it sounded as if they were faster, but after listening further, it
sounded more as if the reader had just inhaled helium. It did this on most
files in most bookshelves except for the mp3's in the music bookshelf. I am
wondering if anyone else has had this same experience.

FYI, I was able to roll back the firmware to 3.3.7 by clearing off an SD
card, putting the UPG file on the card, and starting the Stream while
plugged into AC. It will announce that the firmware being installed is
older than the current one and to press the play/pause key to continue.

I will be interested to hear if this is a universal problem.

Thanks!

Jan
