Jan I'm forwarding your message to the Cisco Academy for the Visually
Impaired (CAVI) discuss mailing list. They offer a course in Linix
administration so I'm sure someone will know the answer to this
question. Do you know what build of Linux your student is using? I.E.
is it Ubuntu, Debien, Red Hat...? I'm sure this will make a
difference. For example, I know that there is a version of Linux just
for visually impaired people called Vinux. There is the Orka screen
reader that works on the Linux OS but I don't know in which Linux
environments . But the people at CAVI will have more information.
Another resource is https://www.linuxfoundation.org/tags/screen-reader
