Hi Sarah, I absolutely love my Refreshabraille from APH. I use it with my
Iphone to access the Life Church Bible app. It has 18 cells, cursor routing
buttons and great action and response. I also have used the Braille pen and
find it to be a wonderful option if you need to be more frugal. Not only do
you get 6 more cells with the Refreshabraille 18, you get USB capability
which gives you the option of using it with your computer if it doesn't have
bluetooth for about $700 more. I find that when writing on the Braille Pen,
it is very noisy and that is mostly because it is constructed of plastic
where the APH device is a sturdy metal frame on top and a plastic bottom and
very responsive action.
Just my piece on it.

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Braille display questions
Good morning everyone. I purchased a Pac Mate Omni QX440 last October. I
recently upgraded to the iPhone and find I really don’t need the Omni
anymore. Should I keep the Omni, or can I do some of the same tasks with a
Braille display? Is it possible to read BRF files with a Braille display and
Jaws? Do most Braille displays support the iPhone? Is there a device that
offers iPhone Braille support that I could also use at church to read my
bible that is a BRF file? The Omni is too big to take to church. Is there a
way to use Microsoft Office 2007 with I devices, or should I still use Jaws
and my desktop computer to create these documents? Feel free to email me off
list. Thank you.
Sarah
