[Trainer-talk] routing program that works with JAWS?

This client has his own business and his office manager sets up the
appointments. So he is doing the driving in the areas; not the office
manager. Sure, he is in some of the same areas, however, his service area
is very large and a good percent are one time customers.
He has been doing the job and we just recieved him as a client for his
computer needs and he mentioned it. it was not the original reason for our
specific services for him.
But if we can find one that even works well enough with JAWS it would help 2
other clients we have.
So worth the research.

Thanks,
Bridget

Indeed, I don'tthink the idea of asking a person or persons familiar with
the neighborhoods how best to plan travel among the various residences is a
bad idea. I'm not sure all problems will be solved with technology.
Presumably, as this student works in these areas, he/she will get to know
and make educated guesses as to how best to organize the day in order to
minimize travel.

Hi,

Has anyone had experience with or know of a routing/mapping or logistic
software program that works with JAWS?

I am not looking for talking GPS or directions.

Our client goes to his clients homes and groups them closely. He uses zip
code and town names. He has used Google Maps but to keep mixing up the
order to find the most efficient directional order, well, isn't efficient.

For example. He has 4 clients in one town, same zip code. He sees his
first client; goes to the second. Now it ends up the third client was only
a mile or so away from the first client. not a lot of time wasted butstill
time wasted. And the same goes for bigger zip code areas/towns.

He has a talking GPS for the actual directions.

But getting them in the best order is the issue.

None that I have looked at have demos and all seem to be multi function
which includes the satelite maps and extras that JAWS doesn't work with.

Perfection would be to put in the 4 addresses and it spit out the order.

I am almost to the point of calling FedEx or UPS soon, hehehe.

Thanks in advance.
