The client has to install a piece of software, which might be a problem in that kind of environment.

How about Serotek's RAM or RIM?

Yes, the original question was about a software called PC helpware.
The consumer will be required to use this piece of software to remotely control a non-AT users computer.
Though the links to JAWS tandem and Skype on the tech vision site has been helpful in other areas.
Another technologist in our agency, with more experience with remote access management software like this is going to test it this weekend, for fun.
Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative, if the software is not accessible out of the box?
My consumer will need to, as a tech support Technician for an Internet service provider, remotely access, control, and fix the computers of
customers who do not have assistive technology installed. Is there
remote access software out there that would provide the technician text to speech access of the destination computer?
Hiring a script writer is a possibility, but may be more expensive then the employer, and counselor, can afford. So, if you have suggestions on creative funding for hiring a script writer that would be helpful too.
Thanks in advance
Laine
