[Trainer-talk] question about PDF documents that will not display

In JAWS 16, insert+space bar, then o, then d performs OCR on the entire
document.  You can also mail the pdf to convert at robobraille.org as an
attachment.  If you want the resulting document to be in Word format, put
doc or docx in the subject line.  This European service will OCR the
document and send it back to you.  If you don't put anything in the subject,
you will get an attachment in .txt format.

hi,

When you hear the document empty message, that usually means the person 
saved the file as an image instead of protected text and you will not be 
able to read it without actually printing the file and scanning the pages or

using software like open book to convert the file to a normal readable text 
or word format.
