   Good morning. When the format of a Word file changes without your knowledge, how do you change it back to the previous format? I am writing a word 2016 file. When I opened the file last night, Jaws said convert file then gave me a list of possible formats. When I press escape or cancel, Jaws says no open document. None of the options presented are doc or docx. How do I change the format either back to a doc or to a docx? Is there a way to set docx as my default? Is it essential I keep word pad on my computer? I think that is what is causing the problem, but I don't know. Feel free to email me off list. Thank you.       Sarah
