[Trainer-Talk] More on those iDEVICE using students

Yes, she types everything with a Bluetooth keyboard using AccessNote. I think AccessNote and the email app built in to the device are the only things she knows.

I think for me the biggest frustration with the college environment is that though we have an access technology lab, students go there to learn something specific, like how to create footnotes, or how to find something in an online course. We're not set up bureaucratically to teach an access technology course, only how to show a student how to perform specific tasks with access technology.

And the instructor is a generalist, so she knows many access technologies -- has a masters in the subject -- but none in depth. I see so many blind students fail simply because they need more hand-holding and only I seem to realize it.

I use Gmail in standard view on my computer and can create folders. I move the e-mails into the desired folders and they no longer show up in my inbox. I can see the folders on my iPhone. There may be a way to create folders on the iPhone but I don't know how. Also, does she complete all of her work on an iDevice? That seems pretty limiting to me.
