Hi Nancy:

I'd like to suggest to the vendor in question to try out the following two
apps:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/goods-order-inventory-system-pro/id734289196
?mt=8

Or:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/inventory-sales-manager/id979783029?mt=8

I have not personally taken any of the apps above for a test drive. Why? I
DO NOT use any iOS phone or device, and I don't have iTunes installed on my
computer. I can't vouch for complete accessibility from a blindness
perspective. The first app does require a monthly subscription of some
kind.

As Brad indicated in his message inter alia, using the phone for inventory
and processing sales may not be the best way to go especially in a retail
environment where everyone may be in a hurry to get out of the door. I
agree with Brad that a tablet like the iPad will be the best approach in
this situation since it will make it easier to connect a barcode scanner
similar to what other retail stores have.

I don't believe the I.D. Mate Galaxy would fit for this purpose. Whereas it
has several products in its database, there are a trillion occasions in
which one has to enter product info into its database manually. I run a
durable medical equipment & supply storefront; I purchased the I.D. Mate
Galaxy hoping that it will help me get inventory related stuff under some
control. Well, I haven't succeeded in finding any of the products my store
carries in its database. As such, I need to manually record them into the
I.D. Mate Galaxy.

You can't use the I.D. Mate Galaxy to scan a product at the cash register;
however, this is a task that a regular barcode scanner will do and even
automatically subtract items sold from inventory.

Your vendor might be also interested in taking a hard look at Shopkeep,
located here:

http://www.shopkeep.com/index-b#step-1

I think the service offered by Shopkeep will do the trick.

I hope the info contained herein is somewhat helpful and useful. Good luck
and all the best!!

Sincerely,
Olusegun
