Brianna,
Welcome. Sometimes I volunteer train people but I also have a lot to learn myself still. Being here helps me pick up useful tips about accessibility and assistive technology pros and cons. Where did you get certified? What are your interests? Tech is a broad field. For jobs, you might try looking at agencies in Georgia since you are from there. For instance, Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta or Savanna Center for the Blind. Some states have few places to serve blind and low vision consumers though. Some states do not even have a separate state agency for the blind. If it were me, I’d stay away from states with no separate agency for the blind. If you go up north, the New England states seem to have many organizations serving blind people. You could always try Perkins school for the Blind. Caroll Center in Newton MA has a big technology program and may have employment openings. If you want internships, I think many centers may offer those in the summer to teach their youth and college students. Good luck with the employment search! It’s a pretty hard job market now.
Sincerely,
Ashley

>Hello, my name is Brianna Mcdowell. I am just introducing myself to all list members. I am from the state of Georgia and I am a certified assistive technology instructor. I was wondering if anyone on this list could give me some tips or information about possible internships or employment as an assistive technology trainer. It is so nice to meet all of you.
