Yes, agreed. I appreciate the resources that are there. I will check out the Eyes Free list.

I commend the folks that put that resource together. Unfortunately all these sites are made by volunteers. And it certainly doesn’t compare to AppleVis in depth of content and organization but it’s the only one I know about. The Eyes Free email list is the largest community of visually impaired android users to my knowledge, and a great place to ask questions. It’s also a lot of traffic. I have an older Nexus tablet at work and a fire tablet but I haven’t spent enough time with either one to become very bonded.

Thanks for the tip. I had visited this site before but it had been a while. They have added some content. I see that there are a few reviews of specific phones but not very many.

Hello all,
What are your best resources for learning more about TalkBack and troubleshooting for TalkBack? In particular, are there any resources that help outline the differences in Talkback on the various flavors of Android?

For example, I have a client with an LG LS676 and I am trying to help him set up the phone so that he can answer with a gesture or the press of a button, instead of swiping to find the answer button and then double tapping. Pressing the Home button and swiping from left to right do not work. I have done this with other clients and have helped them set things up so that they can answer by pressing the volume button. This was done through the Phone app and call settings. This option does not appear on his version of Android/Talkback and I'm wondering if there is another alternative or if it just lives somewhere else on his phone.

I found an accessibility help page for his phone on Sprint (which is his carrier) but it is not very detailed. I'm wondering if there are other places I could find this answer or what go-to resources other trainers are using when you encounter differences in Android or TalkBack versions.

Thanks for any help you can give.
