Hi Ned. You know your stuff. I guess my only comment would be that Jaws does not take up that many resources, and it’s amazing to me that anyone would need to do that on a modern system. Windows 10 has exactly the same system requirements as Windows 7. back when we were all running windows XP and using one processor instead of four and two gig of RAM maybe. But with a decent computer with an I five or better dual core processor, solid-state drive, and eight gig of RAM, which is way above anybody’s system requirements, I wouldn’t think that would be as necessary. Choosing that setting might appear to make things better temporarily, but it could just be masking a bigger problem. like overheating or I’m not even sure.

Hi,
I think he was referring to the Windows settings for, I am not aware that
there are such settings in Office.
Assuming you are logged in as an administrator, do the following:
1. Press Windows + r, type sysdm.cpl and press Enter.
2. If the UAC dialogue pops up, press Alt + y to confirm you want to make
changes.
3. Press Shift + Tab once to get to the list of tabs and then arrow right to
the Advanced tab.
4. Press Tab once to get to the Visual Effects Settings... and press Enter.
5. From the group of radio buttons arrow down/up to Adjust for best
Performance, tab to OK and hit Enter.
6. Tab to OK again and hit Enter.
HTH!

Subject: [Trainer-Talk] Changing Settings for Best Performance Rather Than
Best View
Hello. I recently called Freedom Scientific about a problem with JAWS
processing Outlook message with lots of graphics. My computer would read
the message well; but if I followed one of several links to the website,
then returned to the message to follow another link to the same website,
JAWS would stop processing normally. I had to exit the message, exit
Outlook, then try one of the links again. Applying CleanViews made no
difference at all.
The Vispero technician made several adjustments that made all the
difference. I asked him to send me a list of what he did, so I could apply
it to my other computer. He replied that he just changed various settings
for best performance rather than best view. Where am I likely to find these
settings? Thank you.
