Thanks Nancy,
I was able to set up a Gmail account without any trouble and Mail does seem to work fairly well for reading and sending messages. 

I may switch to this for my beginning clients.

I have had users get email using the Windows 10 mail app. It works fine once it is hooked up. I have occasionally had difficulty getting gmail to work with the app. It seems that most of our clients are using gmail so that can be a hassle.
