Hi All,
While navigating the ribbons in apps like Outlook and Word, customers may
encounter a command called Switch Ribbons. This command changes between what
Office calls the Simplified ribbon and the classic ribbon. In the
Simplified ribbon, which takes over if you check the checkbox for Switch
Ribbons, several commands are moved into overflow entries. By and large
this is aimed at giving more visual space to work and streamlining what is
shown. Personally I leave the classic ribbon on by unchecking the Switch
Ribbons command.
This article

with you but caution that this is written from a mouse and visual
perspective. But conceptually it explains what's going on.
In the new simplified ribbon, The overflow commands are available as you
move through the ribbon when you reach an entry that talks about more
commands. There will be multiple of these, one for most groupings of ribbon
commands. You can press enter to get those commands to appear.
Bottom Line, the simplified ribbon is a pain for Jaws' users as it hides
commands. Stick to the classic ribbon by unchecking the Switch Ribbons
checkbox by hitting alt then tabbing until you hear Switch Ribbons. If it is
unchecked, you are good to go. If not, hit space to uncheck it and tab to
ok.
