[Trainer-Talk] Braille display does not show actions on selected item in Voiceover

Hi all,

 

Working with clients who are solely dependent on their Braille displays when
using i-devices, I ran into a hole in feedback that shouldn't be there due
to commonality and importance of the task they are trying to complete.

Namely, swiping up or down allows user to select an Action on the selected
item before executing it with a double tap.  When using a Braille display to
do so, however, there is no information displayed showing the chosen action
even though it's announced audibly on the device.  All Voiceover settings
are default and different types of Braille displays were tested with the
same result.

Also, I am talking about the Custom Actions, not any Rotor options.

 

What are we missing?  A setting on the Apple device/Voiceover/Braille
display?
