Hello,

What are good and free audio editting software programs?

I’ve heard WavePad on pc used to be great but now has some accessibility glitches. Does audicity work well?

I’m interested in something for Windows and IOS with keyboard commands preferabily.
I am new to this and am seeking to do basic audio edits such as trimming sections out and adding some narration at the beginning.. I also would like the software to convert to different file types ideally so I can send to different people who either have preferences or to fit their needs to play my files.

I would be curious to know if software you suggest also can have me doing a narration with the music playing in the background; for this I’d need It to do audio ducking. This is the type of technique some commercials use which is a good technique. It’s a good way to close or open out a program with music.

Thanks.
Ashley
