"Though many forms of text-based messaging are available, there is
still a need to have the ability to access the phone system for those
who are DeafBlind. In circumstances where the individual cannot see an
interpreter through a video phone and cannot access the phone system
through hearing or using their own speech, there are 2 different
services available: T-Mobile IP Relay and MMXDB. The 2 solutions are
dramatically different from one another but are equally valuable for
different individuals who make up the DeafBlind community. This
webinar will focus on discussing each service, why some individuals
may wish to use one over the other, and will also have demonstrations.
This webinar is intended for technology trainers of individuals who
are DeafBlind. On-screen sign language interpretation, voice over and
captioning will be provided. This webinar will be taught by Scott
Davert and Anindya “Bapin” Bhattacharyya, experts in the area of
DeafBlind technology.
When: August 18th, 2022 1-4PM Eastern Time
