[Trainer-Talk] Google Voice on the web

Hi, I have been a happy Google Voice user since 2007 and absolutely love
it. I have used it from iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and a dedicated
phone box connected to a set of cordless phones. Let me say that this
service is completely accessible. Now, as to your specific question.
When you go to voice.google.com and sign into your Google account, it is
sometimes best to turn off NVDA browsing mode with NVDA+Space or Jaws
virtual PC with Jaws+Z. If you are in the calls section, you can type by
entering the numbers from your keyboard, so you don't need to tab to the
numbers and press enter. This is much faster. You can use the letter A
to answer, ETC. There are Google Voice keyboard shortcuts which you can
read about and they will give you a lot more that you can use. Messaging
with Google Voice from the PC or Mac is also accessible and while it
takes a little getting used to, once you do, it will easily be your
preferred method. I use Google Voice so much, that my mobile number,
832-554-7285, is a Google Voice number that most of my contacts have for
me, and because of this, I hardly ever give out my real mobile number.

I hope this helps, and if you need further assistance, please reach out
to me.

> Hello, I have very limited experience with Google Voice (I have a Google Voice number but haven’t really used it much until now). However, I will need to use it regularly for the next several weeks and was curious whether the web version is accessible with JAWS or NVDA. I had no issues setting up my Google Voice number, but where I’m running into trouble is trying to answer a call and use thekeypd. It seems you can dial using the edit field, but if you have to use an automated system, you have to locate the keypad atab to each number. Anyone have experience with this? a
