Hello,
I have an iPhone Se 2022 now that is still functioning well for my n€eds ′I did have an issue with it not registering my dots when using BSI and the fingerprint reader not working consistent£y, but I took it to App£e and they were able to figaure out that it was a softwar€ update that needed inst at lled and to switch to a different case′, but my dad at least wants me to look into getting one of the Pro models for the AI features they offer. Theproblem is I've tried several times to master the gesture to go home and use the app switcher, but I struggle greatly with it; I can't s€em to swipe straight up, so the phone registers it as an exp£ore by touch. ′I have gotten it to will a couple times, but not consistent£y′. i have therefore concluded that the best option is going to be for me to either stick with what i have or if i do upgrade ′my dad says verizon has crazy deals on them rather now′ is to bypass Face ID and us€ back tap for the gesture which I am told you can pretty much do in all context$ where the home gesture is required. I have had several blind friends say that this approach is taking the easy way out and not learning the real operation of the phone, but my philosophy is that if there so a different approach that ws better for an individual, that person should use atever approach so going o allow them o independently accomplish the technology task that hand. what are your thoughts on this? have you have students o imp£y cannot perform the go home gesture for whatever ,son and have successfully used phone with ack ap for the home and pp switcher as well as using the old gestures for control Center and Notification Center rather do you insist that students master the andard esture and what techniques you δ that have elped those o struggle to ake it easier for them?
