Raul,

By far and away the solution to this issue is exactly what you stated, going
back to single page view:  Alt + W, 1

And the issue is most often caused by someone accidentally having hit Alt +
W, 2, which puts word into multipage view (usually 2 pages per screen, odd
pages on the left side, even on the right, and depending on which "page
column" you happen to be in, going down moves you to the next odd or even
page).

One word of warning for those who may be working with sighted coworkers,
where a document somehow got thrown into multipage view:  this also causes
zoom level to decrease, significantly, to fit both pages on the screen.
When you go back to single page view, the zoom level does not automatically
go back to 100%, so if you actually want it at 100% again, make sure to hit,
Alt + W, J, to force that to happen.

Brad, just FYI, because the zoom level goes down to the extent it does in
multipage view and it's really difficult to use it if you increase the zoom
level to "normal readable" size, I seldom see anyone use multipage view
other than for "quick and dirty" viewing purposes.  Almost every case where
I see a document in multipage view (whether done by a sighted or blind
user) it's happened by accident.  It's well-nigh impossible to actively edit
a document when it's in that view.
