[Trainer-Talk] Please consider voting down resolution 13, the one about the ICC program

It is resolution 2025-13. Unfortunately, it has already been passed. We were not able to determine audibly on the yes and no's, so we ended up doing a delegate vote and there were more yes than no votes unfortunately. In any case, I have no problems with working with our nfb national office when drafting a letter or notice to the leaders of the program so that the letter is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I will make sure that it is known to others that Perkins is one of several managing partners of the program. Also, there were arguments made on the floor against the resolution, on the basis that the statements were inaccurate, alluding to Perkins being the only managing partner and people being forced to either accept a computer or a braille sense and not both. I am happy to discuss with anybody about this on the phone if necessary. Thank you.

There are only like five commissioners. The rules have nothing to do with Congress or anything else.  The  entire program could be wiped out by the stroke of a pen, just like anything else right now that has anything to do with inclusion, equity, disability, or accessibility,  so, it’s not exactly the best time to make waves, and they need to be made carefully and with deep consideration. of course it can be made better and fine tuned, but I don’t see where a resolution like this is going to be helpful. Although it would be nice to read the text of the resolution so that I can address it more directly. Thank you for hearing me out.
