remember educate, educate, educate, and complain, complain, complain.
We are always afraid to complain as blind people, oh don't start trouble, the won't do anything about it, Oh yes they will the CLIA needs to know these things ships have to go through strict certifications to be under this organization.
So if you ever have issues. I know for myself I can complain to them you have a friend in me who can contact them and let them know about any of the problems whether it be cruises
or other travel related problems.
There are other members here in the industry who I know have there ears on as well that maybe can give some advice.

Hi, Cindy:
Now that you mention it, the reservation people I dealt with did not seem to
be the brightest stars in the universe. The people we dealt with directly on
the ship, our cabin steward and a waitress we befriended in the bar, who
gave us outstanding service (my husband left his beer on the deck and she
brought it up to our cabin!) There was only one problem--well, it wasn't
really a problem but it could have been if my husband hadn't handled it as
well as he did. As he was boarding the tender boat from the ship, one of the
staff wanted to take his cane while helping him onto the tender boat. Rob
showed the man how he used his cane to gage the depth of the steps into the
tender boat. Then everything was fine; the man understood and gave Rob back
his cane.
I hope you do have a wonderful trip.
Cheers,
Susan

Well, I hope your experience, after you've actually traveled with them,
tells the same story. We had a terrible experience trying to make
reservations with them, many years ago, and ever since then, I've heard
horror stories about them ... how custodial they are and, in general, making
it difficult or uncomfortable for blind people to travel on their ships.

Wrong, Wrong in fact I am going on a cruise next November bringing guide
dog they even have brailled menus
So what you heard is wrong if interested contact me and I can get you some
great deals on Norwegian really cheap rates going because of the economy.
Infact, prior to me becoming travel agent in September I made reservation
in April for the New Epic and they were glad to help and no problems at all
with dogs or braille at all, plus I have made a few reservations on
Norwegian for some blind people that are not part of the NFB and they had a
great time.

Hi all, I wanted to ask for people's recent experiences with Norwegian.
I
know they haven't had a good reputation with blind travelers,
historically.
But, I'd like to know how things have been in the last few years.
