----- Original Message ----- Hello Cindy and listers,

Either that or they'll look for airline alternatives such as private air
charter. Five years ago this would be beyond the reach of the average flying
passenger but with the advent of air taxi services, very lite jets, and
other developments we're coming in to a time when for what you pay to fly
with one of the big boys you can charter for a bout the same amount although
it can run slightly more depending on the aircraft type, the distance flown,
requested amenities such as in-flight catering, airport landing and ramp
fees etc.
as I just told someone on the phone it could be worth it to spend a few
hundred more to be picked up at your home or business, be taken directly
plane side avoiding the crowded terminals, the embarrassing security checks,
and such. You could step directly from your ground transportation on to the
plane and your baggage is loaded by the flight crew. Soon you're airborne
and on your way. When you land another van is waiting for you and a few
other chapter members to take you to the convention hotel. You and your
belongings are off-loaded and placed on the van and you're soon at the front
door of the Anatole Hilton. The whole procedure would be reversed for the
trip home. I'd be curious to hear from anyone who flew with an air charter
company, and how they as blind passengers were treated by that company.
