If you are just joining the blog or the talk list this is a continuation of our travel to Walt Disney World. If you want to catch up the first posting was on December 6, 2011

The blog website is www.echevarriatravel.wordpress.com<http://www.echevarriatravel.wordpress.com/>

If you are on the travel and tourism talk list look through the achieves.

Dinner was at 5:15, prior to this was the Celebrate Parade. It is a parade that is a daily parade, sometimes depending on the day of the week they have 2 parades one at 3 pm and one at 5 pm.

We sat in front on the Liberty Tavern since it passes right in front of it.

They have all the characters that we all know and love in it, plus dancers and singers.

If you can view this on the blog, the link is below, if you cannot see it, I will be sending it to Peter Donahue to post on the travel and tourism website, but it is not narrated, I can possibly do this, I will be contacting peter later to find out. But for those who have sight the link is here.

It can also be viewed on youtube.com.

Now if you have any special going on at the parks, like a family reunion, just got married, honeymoon, birthdays, you can actually contact guest services at the park you are in to see if you can be the Grand Marshall of any of the parades, they will tell you the date and time you can be in it; you need to be flexible, or let your travel agent know, or they might even recommend it if you are celebrating something special.

We love the parades and anything Disney, can't you tell.

>From here we had our dining reservation at the Liberty Tavern Restaurant, it is a sit down dinner on your dining plan or you can make a reservation to eat there. Please remember to make your dining reservations prior to going on your trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, etc. only because there will be a time where you can't find a place to eat anywhere, and you might have to just eat at a fast restaurant instead of the sit down place you really wanted to go. Disney recommends 180 days prior to arrival.

Again, my favorite source, allears.net, which is accessible lists all the restaurants, there prices if you don't want to use the dining plan options, and the menus, which do change from time to time.

Liberty Tree Traven has a fixed menu and everyone gets the same thing family style, which is:

Bill Of Fare
Declaration Salad - Tossed Mixed Greens, served with our special Tavern Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing

Patriot's Platter - Roasted turkey breast, carved beef, and smoked pork loin, with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb bread stuffing, and Macaroni and Cheese.

Rolls and gravy also included.

Desserts
Warm cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream - included

plus beverage.

It was delicious.

After dinner, we went to the Haunted Mansion, which was only a few steps away. Not really scary but a lot of fun, nothing in Disney is really crazy scary, especially for the little ones, for the big ones either.

Attraction:

Queue: Themed after the English Tudor style found in lower Hudson River Valley in New York, the stately Haunted Mansion looks down on Liberty Square. Visitors make their way up a winding path, and through the wrought-iron gates, eventually passing a small graveyard with an assortment of tombstones engraved with punny epitaphs. The names featured on the tombstones are those of some of the attraction's original designers and developers

>From here we went to Adventureland, the last part of the park that we didn't do yet.

While we walked over there, many of the food locations had free hot chocolate and cookies for the party guests, it was after 7 by this time and all regular guests who did not have the tickets left, very nice strolling Disney at night, all lit up and a little chill in the air. The soap snow was flying all over the place, and so we stopped for cocoa and cookies, yummy, and then we came upon more photo opportunities, first was Abu and Aladdin from the movie Aladdin, so we got on line and took pictures, and then right next to where we were was another favorite ride.

The Pirates of the Caribbean - this is not a new ride, but a favorite, and it was there way before the movie was there, in fact, after the movies were a big hit, the updated the rides to include Barbosa and Captain Jack Sparrow.

It is a boat ride, slow moving but fun as well.

Right after this, there was Capt. Jack Sparrow photos that we took that photopass comes in handy.

Then we walked to Tinkerbell's Nook, where again this is a photopass opportunity with Tinkerbell and the other fairies.

For those NFB members, the lady that was taking the pictures, asked me if I knew Joe Ruffalo, the President of the New Jersey Affiliate, she asked since I had my cane, and asked where I was from.

I said, of course I know Joe, why. She turned out to be his niece. Can't get away from those NFB people. I would be like if my husband had come with us, he finds people he knows everywhere. ROFL.

Anyway, from here we walked around and enjoyed the night, and then we took pictures with Princess Jasmine and the Genie from Aladdin.

We were getting tired and it was about time for the Holiday Wishes Firesworks, which was extra special for the party goers.

From there we went and saw the Mickey's Once Upon a Time Christmas Parade.

>From there we went back to our resort and go to sleep for our next day, which was EPCOT

For those wanting to know what else you get with the price of the Extra Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is as follows:

a.. Tomorrowland terrace Fireworks Party, which is a special view of the fireworks and a dessert party, we were to full, and had enough sugar, and wanted to do other things. Desserts are made by the pastries chefs of Walt Disney World, from chocolate fountains to ice cream. This is also done during busy seasons throughout the year. We did this in 2009 and so worth it. But it is an additional cost for it.
  b.. The parade
c.. The Magic Memories and you Holiday Edition, a video projected on the Castle, we did see this but you really need to be close to the castle to view it.
d.. A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show
  e.. Celebrate the season show
  f.. Character Dance Parties
  g.. and so much more!!!
