Great tips! I will consider a Halloween trip for college graduation, sounds good. Also a longer stay!

> Well Jewel, when you went to Disney you went during a very busy time of the year, all the kids are out of school, including the college students. So the lines and crowds are longer, there are a couple of places to help people with the lines and which parks to go on which day you are there, for those that are partially sighted, and have a cell phone there is an application for lines and parks which is on touringplans.com it is not free but it does help.

> The high season is anytime the college students and schools are out, sometimes you have to wait an hour or 2 just to get on a ride. We did that in August 2009, not worth going during this time, you are wasting time and money. Your resorts are empty but the parks are crazy.

> But if you are going during these times, go early in the morning, but I would recommend staying at one of the WDW Resorts, and go back to the park that has extra hours, when the other guests go home and enjoy the parks then as well. This you will see later that, when staying in the parks, you get a lot of perks like the extra hours at the parks.

> If you are a golfer, Disney has some of the best Golf Courses and the Professionals do play here, also during spring training the Atlanta Braves have there spring training at the ESPN Wide World of Sports, and you can go see them play, there is a fee, but not like paying at the major league stadiums when regular season goes on.

>
> Halloween Good time to go, also end of October to just about Thanksgiving - EPCOT has the food and wine exhibit going on.
>
> Also crowd calendar is on this site as well as touring plans. These are great help.

> I am on the website right now and it is telling me the best parks to visit today will be EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom. It also tells me to avoid Animal Kingdom.

> Also recommend, now this is for those that are staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts, this is not available to those that are staying outside the parks.
>
> Take note of which day a park is opened late, which means at all the parks accept for Animal Kingdom closes depending on the time of the year, between 6-7pm. For those that are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can stay up to 11pm-Midnight at theme parks, a perk when staying at on of the WDW Resorts.

> Also, once you see the show and the rides you wanted to do, take your time and stroll through the parks, there are other things to see and do other than just the rides and shows, they have stores with different things in them, listen to the music that is played around you, and when walking through the parks, there are different smells from the restaurants and bakeries that perfume the air.

>
> Oh FYI, Animal Kingdom closes early, they put the animals in around 5pm, to eat there food and so that the vets can check on them, make sure that they are okay, count them, etc. So remember this.
