Again, I do not read braille, but since joining the NFB, I fight where I can to make it happen.

I hate when we are fighting for something like braille and then when these things come up, oh well we are being one sided on it, is NFB for braille or not, maybe I am not in the right organization.

Subject: [Travelandtourism] A thought about blind cruisers

Here's something to keep in mind about blind people who are cruising, these
  days.

It's probably been this way for a long time, but the majority of people who
take cruises are older individuals. Many of these people are losing their
eye sight, due to age related conditions. Most older people do not have the
desire to learn Braille. So, it's easier for them to receive their
  information in an audible format.

So, I think we need to be careful about the demands we put on any cruise
line. They have to determine how they can provide the information in
whatever way is most useful for most of their blind passengers. If more
blind people read Braille, that would probably be the thing to push for.
But, I don't think it's reasonable to demand Braille and some other format,
  too.

This whole discussion seems to be in the negotiation stage. So, it seems
counterproductive to threaten them with a loss of business if we don't get
  our way.

  Cindy--

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths
  straight."
  Proverbs 3:5-6
