[Travelandtourism] Intro

Hey Michael!

It's always nice to see a fellow Nebraskan!  There aren't many of us. 
*smile*  I think we chatted long ago on the parents list, but I had to 
leave that one because I couldn't keep up.

Anyway I'll introduce myself.  I've been on this list for a long while, 
but rarely post.  I'm Julie.  I live in south eastern Nebraska with my 
farmer husband, teenage son and two dogs.  I do live in town, not on a 
farm.  Still the town is very small.  I rather like it though because I 
can walk everywhere.

I travel mostly for work or to visit family.  Every few years I get to 
go someplace just for fun though.  I love to learn about the area I'm 
visiting and eat the food.  My son is interested in those same things, 
while my husband is more interested in relaxing on vacation.

Recently I've been trying to take advantage of local opportunities for 
entertainment instead of more expensive travel.  You know that whole 
pretend your a tourist in your own town thing.  It's kind of fun really.
