[Travelandtourism] Intro

Julie,

that is one part of the state I have not been to much, driven through, but
not stopped. I visited the school for the blind in Nebraska City a very long
time ago, when I was attending the Iowa School for the Blind. I have lived
in Scottsbluff, Hayes Center, and now Spalding. I grew up in Sioux City, so
I have been to South Sioux several times.

I have been on I-80 from boarder to boarder several times as well, 450 plus
miles.

Michael

Hey Michael!

It's always nice to see a fellow Nebraskan! There aren't many of us.
*smile* I think we chatted long ago on the parents list, but I had to leave
that one because I couldn't keep up.

Anyway I'll introduce myself. I've been on this list for a long while, but
rarely post. I'm Julie. I live in south eastern Nebraska with my farmer
husband, teenage son and two dogs. I do live in town, not on a farm. Still
the town is very small. I rather like it though because I can walk
everywhere.

I travel mostly for work or to visit family. Every few years I get to go
someplace just for fun though. I love to learn about the area I'm visiting
and eat the food. My son is interested in those same things, while my
husband is more interested in relaxing on vacation.

Recently I've been trying to take advantage of local opportunities for
entertainment instead of more expensive travel. You know that whole pretend
your a tourist in your own town thing. It's kind of fun really.

Julie
