[Travelandtourism] Disney Headsets

Hello Cheryl and everyone,

No I was putting convenience before excess stuff to carry around during my
visit. If I lose my iPhone I don't need to worry about having to shell out
addition money to the entity when I leave nor do I need to worry about them
holding my I.D. card hostage while I'm in the park. Because it's insured
there would be no charge to replace my iPhone.

I was at the Savis Center in St.; Lewis for a business conference in 2003. I
wanted to use their hearing enhancement service. They required a $25 deposit
and told me that I must let them hold my I.D. card until I left the center.
I promptly told them thanks but no thanks, handed them back the headset they
brought me and moved closer to the front of the hall so I could hear better.

There are now headsets that have an "Environmental Mode" you can activate to
hear what's going on around you in addition to the radio, your iPod, or
whatever you're listening to. In this particular situation such a headset
would have been a better choice for me so I could hear better without having
to pay that deposit or surrender my I.D. With all of the concerns about I.D.
theft these days there's no way in Hell I'll do that!

FYI, it is not that much money, and you are returned the money at the end of
the day.
And I don't know where you got the $100.00 from it is a refundable $25.00 to
use it, if you lose it or don't return it then they will charge your room
for it.
Second, since you have yet to try it yourself, shouldn't be putting the plow
before the horse.
It is more to rent a wheelchair or a scooter for the day then the device.
We are lucky that Disney is doing this for us.
Let us turn a positive into a positive for the moment.
Not every blind person has a cell phone or something to have an app on.
