FYI, it is not that much money, and you are returned the money at the end of the day.
And I don't know where you got the $100.00 from it is a refundable $25.00 to use it, if you lose it or don't return it then they will charge your room for it.
Second, since you have yet to try it yourself, shouldn't be putting the plow before the horse.
It is more to rent a wheelchair or a scooter for the day then the device.
We are lucky that Disney is doing this for us.
Let us turn a positive into a positive for the moment. 
Not every blind person has a cell phone or something to have an app on.
