Seminars at Hadley Presents: Geography: Talking Travel

 Date: Monday, August 26, 2013

Time: 2:00 PM CDT, 19:00 GMT

Curious about the world outside your door? Want to learn more about
traveling as a blind person? Join Seminars at Hadley as Wendy David,
author of Sites Unseen: Traveling the World Without Sight, shares her
thoughts about why you want to travel, the joys of traveling and how to
prepare for a trip. Wendy will be joined by Hadley instructor Julie Kay
as they discuss how you can learn about geography before and during
travel. Practical resources, such as where to order maps, will be
shared.

This 60-minute seminar will be moderated by Hadley Senior Vice
President Dawn Turco. A question and answer session will be included as
part of the seminar. Time for participant input about future travel
sites to discuss will be included.

Note: You can order Wendy David’s book ahead of time, either through BARD or through National Braille Press.

Space in this seminar is limited. Please only register if you know you are available to attend so that others are not closed out. Register for the Geography: Talking Travel seminar on August 26.
