Good morning Shonen and welcome to the NFB Travel & Tourism Talk List:
I am the President of the Division, Cheryl Echevarria, Brentwood, NY.
Please introduce yourself to the list, and any newbies as well, please introduce yourselves, where you are from, are you NFB member what state affiliate are you from, if you are not a member of the NFB, that is fine as well.
Below is the information on the Washington Seminar.

Are you new to the National Federation of the Blind as well?
The Washington DC Seminar is an annual event that everyone of our state affiliates send members to. We recommend everyone once in there lifetime come to Washington DC Seminar.
We focus on the issues at hand that the nfb is working on with Senators and Congressman, to make these issues bills and then into laws.
This year our event is from January 27-30, 2014
You can find out more either at your local chapter in your state or you can read about it in the monthly Braille Monitor or you can go to https://nfb.org/washington-seminar; It tells dates times, etc. You must be with a state chapter or affiliate, because you need to let your affiliate know that you will be there, and they will set you up to speak with congress people in your area of your state.
If you scroll down, it also gives you the Legislative Agenda and issues.
If you are on other lists, David Andrews and others have sent this information out to everyone that is a member of our lists.

Thank you.
Sincerely
Cheryl Echevarria
