I just joined the American Association for Airline Passenger Rights--still
don't have the name quite right but am a first-class member and checked that
I'd like to serve on the public policy committee.

Subject: [Travelandtourism] 2nd Annual Air Travel Accessibility Conference

Good morning and welcome home from the 74th National Convention.
If you were present this year, you know how very emotional the uplifting
this past convention was with the passing of the torch from Dr. Maurer to
Mark Riccobono, and congratulations President Riccobono from the National
Federation of the Blind's Travel & Tourism Division.
I am asking if anyone from the division would like to represent us at this
year's 2nd Annual Air Travel Accessibility Conference. We unfortunately, do
not have the funds to send you to it, and I will try and attend myself if I
can, but this is one of those things I would like us to use for money that
comes into this division. Send people to conferences around the country and
the world and bring them back not only for us, but the NFB family.
Information is as follows
AAPR - Association of Airlines Passengers Rights - 2nd Annual Air Travel
Accessibility Conference
Dates: check in September 25, conference September 26-27, check out
September 28th.
Location: Westin Washington DC City Center, 1400 M Street, NWWashington, DC
20005
$50 to register for the event.
I am a member and can register you under Echevarria Travel for this.
Hotel stay is not included but there is a discounted rate at the Westin for
$189 a night, plus taxes and fees.
If anyone is interested let me know by July 31st, after that the
registration goes to $75 Thank you.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
