    SECRETARY'S REPORT

     NFB TRAVEL AND TOURISM DIVISION

     DEC. 21, 2015

The NFB Travel and Tourism Division held its monthly meeting on Monday,
Dec. 21, 2015 via conference call. The meeting was called to order by Pres.
Cheryl Echevarria at 7:14 p.m., EST. There were 8 people on the call, and
all of the officers and board members were present.

Cheryl said that all of the officers need to be doing their jobs. If
you don't have time to do the job, or don't want to be an officer anymore,
you need to let her know.

Cheryl said that we are going to have another conference call about the
problems with Greyhound. It will be sometime in January. We are waiting
for Anil Lewis' schedule to open up so he can be on the call to get the
issues dealt with.

We talked about how we need to increase membership. Right now we have
28 paid members. But fewer than 2-3 members are on the calls per month. The
division has both Facebook and twitter accounts. We need more people on the
monthly conference calls, and Cheryl does send out email reminders about
these.

We talked about if we were going to have a division meeting at the 2016
national convention. This will be in Orlando again. It was decided that
that we will not have a meeting at convention, due to the fact that
President Echevarria will be moving during the end of June, and all of the
board positions, will stay the same until our annual meeting in 2017.

Cheryl said that if we still want to do our 2016 trip, we need to let
Mary know so she can rebook it. If she does this, the price for the trip
will go up. Jo said that she has only received 1 deposit for the trip. We
will have Mary on our next call in January.

Cheryl will send out an email to everyone with the date for the next
meeting.

There being on other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
Est

Respectfully submitted by

John TeBockhorst, Secretary,

NFB Travel and Tourism Division

P.S: Since this meeting, Mary, will not be attending the meeting. We have
had a conference call with members of the National Office and other people
involved in the Greyhound issue. Information will be explained at the
January 18th, 2016 Meeting.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
