Greetings all,
I wanted to give you all a friendly reminder of the Fundraiser that is
happning in Austin this Saturday. Please see the details below:
The Texas Association of Blind Students will be holding their next
fundraiser here in our great city of Austin. It will be on Saturday
October 29th from 10:00am-2:00pm at the track field at Cook Elementary
School ( 1511 Cripple Creek Drive) So, the question is…how will the
funds be raised? Well my friends, you can support by paying $10 per
student and $15 per non student and walk, jog, run, skip, hop or rol.
As many times as you want around the track. We will have music playing
and provide snacks and water for all attendees. This event is for
everyone, so please bring yourself, your friend, spouse, family, kids,
hair stylists, managers, neighbors, coworkers, dog walkers, random
strangers ( if they are safe), blind, sighted, you get the point. Our
goal during this Meet the Blind Month is to show that we as blind
people participate in healthy living and to spread awareness of that
fact.
The track is at the back of the elementary school, so please arranged
your transportation accordingly.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at

Warm regards and we hope to see y'all there!!

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create
obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life
you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
