Time is running out guys!! We have two weeks until our first National Meet
the Blind Month event on October 7, 2017 and I am excited. The Chesapeake
chapter just pledged to bring a bunch of people to the bowling event and I
am in talks with some sighted friends from my college and family that are
interested in attending. Mark Roane, the state treasurer, confirmed that the
Amazon Tap we are raffling off just arrived and I will be picking it up on
Monday evening! I love when a plan comes together. I just want to let you
know, now, at 3AM, if you are not in Virginia Beach in two weeks you will be
missing out on the party. Now let's make this clear, I am up at the wee
hours of the morning writing you guys and giving you a chance to make this
event. Let me know if there is something stopping you from attending. I have
two vans going to this event, one from Richmond and the other from Northern
Virginia. I honestly do not think that distance can be an excuse for missing
this one. Again, the deadline to grab a seat in either van from either
location is Friday, September 29. If you want a seat in the NOVA van,
contact Naim. If you are in Greater Richmond (Richmond, Henrico County,
Hanover County, Petersburg) let me know as soon as possible. If you are not
in those areas and there is some other reason you can't make it but you
really want to go, please call or email me privately. I have no problem
making some things happen, but I need time and need to know what the issue
is. Closed mouths don't get fed so make sure you take advantage of this
exciting event. I look forward to seeing you all.
