[vendtalk] lottery question for venders

In New York there are several, over 20, vendors who sell lottery tickets.
Some have employees, some don't. The issue with the terminals being
accessible is being looked into as the company G-tech that is the provider
has hand held talking terminals they supplied Spain with since the lottery
business in Spain is only sold by blind people. The RFP for their new
contract is suppose to require non-visual access. I'll know more soon.
Other than that there are no restrictions and some do believe since you only
make 6 cents on a dollar it's not worth it, but like snowflakes, eventually
it's enough to shovel and I believe the average agent in New York is doing
between 400,000 and 500,000 per year in sales. I know of at least 2 in our
program that do near a million a year in sales.
