Kevan:

I checked into a talking credit card terminal about ten years ago and the
only one I could find cost $1200. I did not want to invest that much.
Right now I am using a First Data FD50 which has no feedback except a couple
of beeps and buzzes that let me know if the card is not supported; or if
there was a read error; or if the transaction was approved or declined. If
there is no sound at all I ask the customer to read the screen and proceed
from there. Customers are always willing to help. The First Data
Cost $300. It works on DSL with a phone line backup. Credit/debit
transactions represent about one third of my sales.

I am writing Blind Entrepreneurs to ask how you are retrieving your credit
card information. Which accessible terminals are currently in the market
place? What companies are distributing them? Who makes them? How much are
they costing? How well do they work?

Any info will be helpful.
