Good evening to you,

I am also blind, but have learned to use a terminal without speech. It dose
have its drawbacks. What cell phone are you using? The reason I ask, is
because there are at least two companies I know if who have iPhone apps.
Once registering with the companies, Square, or Intuit, either of them will
send you a free card reader, which will plug into your phone's earphone
jack. I have not yet tried this, so I do not know how it interacts with
VoiceOver. I am looking at doing this for my local chapter for fundraising
purposes. Anyway, Depending on your volume, this could be an option. At
the very least, it could save you $1800 plus.
