THE LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND
2017 DEAFBLIND RETREAT
Dog Guide Use Policy

Welcome dog guides and their handlers!

For the safety and health of your dog and of all the campers and volunteers
at the Retreat, we ask you to follow these guidelines:

1.	Do not let your dog run loose at the Retreat.
2.	Always clean up after your dog.
3.	Dogs are not allowed at the Thursday night dance due to loud music.
4.	Dogs left in rooms must be tied up. You are responsible for cleaning
up messes your dog might make if you leave the room. You are responsible for
any damage in the room.
5.	Dogs need to be completely under the table at meals. They cannot
block aisles at workshops or activities.
6.	Feed and give water to your dog daily.
7.	You need to bring you own food for your dog for the week.
8.	Keep your dog clean and brushed. (Many Retreat participants have
allergies to dogs).
