Greetings all,

Teen Night is coming up on the 20th of February which happens to be this Friday!

I know Katie does not like going for Ice Cream in the winter; however, she did say that Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream Café does serve hot chocolate. Once again, Teen Night will travel via Metro Bus (approximately $2.00 each) on the number 2 bus from Franklin and 1st Ave. (the North-East corner) and head west to Hennepin Ave and Franklin. Get off on Henn. And back track to Franklin and go west just a few doors down and presto! We are chillin' at one of the first coffee houses in the Twin cities. Yes, they also serve Cappuccino's and other designer coffees, teas, and yes, malts, shakes and juices. Bring some cash to spend on your ice cream desire and/or your beverage of choice. Remember, we all place our own orders and pay our own bill. . We will chill out for a while and then using our transfers from the previous ride on the bus we will return via Metro bus number 2 and catch it on Franklin ½ a block across Hennepin Ave. Get dropped off at Stephens and Franklin Ave. and walk two blocks back to the Pillsbury Mansion full of ice cream just in time to head on home. I hope you all can make it to our winter chill-out.

Note: The metro bus does take bills and coins, dress appropriately, bring your canes and remember, ice cream is healthy...kind of....it's milk...every body needs milk, right?

See you there!

In Short:
This sparse and casual space has a few tables and a small performing area at one end of the room. Long a cool spot for people-watching; always a popular destination when the dew point climbs high. Both new spins and old favorites are on the ice cream list of more than 80 flavors. Traditionalists love the heady vanilla, which uses ground beans instead of extract. The daring try ginger-cream or spicy cayenne-laced chocolate coyote.

Insider Tips
The Extras

Along with 24 unique ice cream flavors, Sebastian Joe's also serves a heaping helping of sorbets, malts, frozen yogurt, float and sundaes. Its rotation of homemade ice-cream flavors has made it an institution, but this place also knows a thing or two about classic spumoni and fruity sorbets.

Fun Fact

The Franklin Avenue Sebastian Joe's was one of Minneapolis' very first coffeehouses.
