This list is sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind, NFB, and the Employment Committee of the NFB. The purpose of the “Job-Discussions” listserv is to provide a forum to discuss employment issues for the blind and network with other jobseekers and career-minded individuals. It may not be used for other subjects. Topics of discussion may include: disclosure of blindness, reasonable accommodations, accessibility issues, interviewing, employment challenges, job search methods, and the like. This list is designed to help and support blind people who are looking for jobs or trying to make decisions about careers. It is not a forum for criticism of others, and people who engage in such behavior will be removed from the list. From time to time informational messages about the National Federation of the Blind and its activities generated by the NFB may be distributed to the members of all lists, including this one. There is a separate list for listings of actual jobs. it is a moderated list, which means that job announcements are held until they are released by a list administrator or Employment Committee member. Using Job-Discussions
To post a message to all the list members, send email to job-discussions@nfbnet.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Job-Discussions
Subscribe to Job-Discussions by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
