[blindkid] geometry

We are just in intro to geometry [part 2] in 7th grade. The school uses a tactile drawing board, the print copy is placed under the drawing board film then traced over with the stylus. The film is then stapled to a piece of Braille paper to give it support. Using this method Jason has been able to measure angles, etc with accuracy in his honors level math classes.

We thought of that one. The answer from school was that's she's "too old" for Wikki stiks and such. grrr! I'm hoping if we solve this battle for B we won't have to face it yet again when Winona gets there.

Use of wiki sticks to create shapes, angles etc.. is good to aid in their
understand and to complete homework

We have a blind friend struggling with 10th grade geometry. Any suggestions
on what they can do other than "practice the Brailled copies we send home"?
There's bound to be some hands on something out there, isn't there?

Any suggestions for what has worked for your kids?
And yes, I'm taking notes for when Winona hits that in a few years!

Thanks!
